Hello,
For DHL, for case when third party billing pays freight / fuel, so cost should not be aavailable in dedicated tag in shipments response message. For that 2 possible solution :
- Solution 1 : send in request message <GetPriceEstimate>N</GetPriceEstimate> if <ShippingPaymentType> is set to T (third party) only
- Solution 2 : add a settings in Techship to remove cost from API shipments response message if a third party billing has been used to send request to carrier.

Hello Pierre,
To summarize, the carriers who provide the actual 3rd party rates that are flowing into your system are DHL Express and FDX primarily but there could be other carriers too.
It has been suggested that we first contact the carriers to determine if there is a way to turn off the 3rd party rates in the API response for your accounts prior to evaluating a change that could negatively affect other customers who may be using that data.
By chance have you looked into this by reviewing it directly with the carriers? If not can you contact your carrier representatives to determine if there are settings they can change to prevent these rates from appearing in their rate responses?

Hello, Good comment and proposal, unfortunately, we expect to get same behaviour we have for Fedex (no cost into API shipments reponse if order has account third party billing), for all carriers we use. Reason for that is we do not handle financial rules in our middleware EM Courier that is used just to connect TOM / CW1 TMS to Techship. Regards.

Pierre Laurent BAUDOUX if you are making API calls and you know that you do not want to receive the freight costs back, any reason you cannot just ignore the freight costs in the response you receive back in the API call?
