Combined Middle and Final mile tracking

When zone skipping an order, we rate shop using the induction location as the origin and create a separate, bulk shipment for the middle-mile carrier to deliver the parcels to the induction location. In this scenario, we need the ability to track the shipment through the whole process.

my question was, when using the induction location as the origin when rate shopping, is that induction location the destination of the middle mile shipment (i.e.) the courier's Calgary DC for instance)? If so, this makes sense. If not, it doesn't make sense to use our facility as the induction point for rate shopping. We'd need it to be the destination of the middle-mile carrier to get the 'local' rates that would be uploaded into Techship for this purpose. Please confirm if above is correct.
Also, you need to track the shipment through the whole process - is this because you are trying to tie the middle-mile tracking to the carrier's BOL? If not, why is this needed?
It sounds like you already have a process for this, which is good news. We just need to understand how it works, and what's needed from us and yourselves. If you could please provide as much information as possible, it would be very helpful so we can start to implement the process on our end successfully.
