We would like to request a new feature within Techship that allows user‑created charges to flow into alternate billing fields within the Extensiv WMS—specifically, billing fields other than the existing Freight/Shipping field. Our goal is to map charges to the Materials or Handling billing fields based on configurable triggers.
We are currently struggling to capture certain handling or materials-related fees directly within the WMS. Using Techship’s existing OMR restrictions and automation tools would significantly streamline this workflow and reduce manual intervention.
Eg- When a SKU description contains the word “glass”, automatically add $0.25 per unit to the Materials billing field in the WMS.
We would like the ability to create logic-driven charges in Techship that map to specific WMS billing fields for scenarios such as:
  • Additional handling fees for SKUs that include plastic strapping (to account for carrier-assessed fees billed post-shipment).
  • Material fees for corrugated cardboard used to wrap glass bottles.
  • Additional handling fees when the item quantity on an order exceeds a specified threshold.
  • Material fees for applying battery marking stickers to designated SKUs or SKU descriptions.
  • Material fees for packing paper, tape, or other consumables used when specific SKUs appear on the order.
