Techship | Markup Profiles | Base rate + surcharges

We would like the ability to add a markup to the base rate as well as separate, individual markups for each accessorial surcharge for each carrier.
Our goal is to apply an XX% markup to the base rate, and additional XX% markups to specific surcharges such as Residential Delivery, Additional Handling – Weight, Oversize Charge, and others. This capability is essential for accurately rate‑shopping multiple carriers on behalf of our customer.
Reference: Ticket 2310967.
Each carrier has many different accessorial fees, and we need the flexibility to configure these individually so the rate‑shopping results accurately reflect the rates we provide to our customer.
Example:
If our FedEx Oversize Fee is $100.00 and we want to charge the customer $105.00, applying only an overall 10% markup results in the rate‑shop showing $110.00 instead of the $105.00 we presented.
Similarly, if our Purolator Oversize Fee is $90.00 and we want to charge the customer $100.00, but the overall markup is set to 30%, the rate‑shop would show $117.00.
In this scenario, when FedEx and Purolator rate‑shop against each other, it would incorrectly appear that FedEx is the lower-cost option.
This is why having accurate, carrier‑specific accessorial markups and discounts is crucial for our workflow.

Natalie Savoie, if you are using markup profiles, you can set up the markup on surcharges separately using the Surcharges tab. When adding a new surcharge, you can select the markup to be on specific accessorials or the same across all of them.
Are you looking for something more specific?

Edward Aguiar This is exactly what we need. 1. We want to be able to set a markup % on the base rate. 2. We want to be able to set up individual markups on surcharges separately. Support tickets 2310967 and 2323920 are indicating this is not a possibility. Should the surcharge category be selected as "carrier" and then enter the carrier's API surcharge codes and descriptions?
